A Few words on this promo plan

MLE Promo cards will be delivered freely under certain conditions :

• Collecting most or all MLE cards from booster packs
• Posting many strategy articles/decks/combos...
• Advertizing the MLE project anywhere on the Internet or in your area
• Organizing or winning MLE tournaments
• Promo subscription

Promo subscription
By sending a subscription email you will be added to the free promo plan available to all players. Then you will get jpeg URLs from time to time (once every two weeks or once per month). Check out the Nemesis cards below.

Collecting most or all MLE cards from booster packs :
Check the various collector promo that you may get and send a text list of the jpeg filenames that you own (with the 3 digit codes).

Posting many strategy articles/decks/combos :
If you have posted multiple contributions to the mailing lists or sent them directly to the MLE team, then check the various collector promos that you may get and send a request email. If your contributions have reached the minimum amount needed, then you will receive the Strategy promo(s).

Advertizing the MLE project :
If you have made some advertizing for the MLE project, then check the various collector promo that you may get and send a request email. Explain what you did along with a copy of your URL, emails... If your contributions have reached the minimum level needed, then you will receive the Advertizing promo(s).

Organizing or winning MLE tournaments :
If you have organized a MLE tournament, then send a short feedback email explaining who played what, and who won the tournament. Then you will receive the tournament organizer promo(s). You can check them out below.

If you have won a MLE tournament, then as soon as we get the tournament feedback from the tournament organizer, we'll deliver one of the winner promos. You can check them out below.

Tournament formats :
- Basic MLE tournament : 10% minimum of MLE cards (generic or immortal specific) in each deck.
- Unexpected MLE tournament : 10% minimum of Unexpected Cards (Events, SItuations...) in each deck.
- MLE Persona tournament : only immortals from the Missing Link Expansion allowed. This format will give an extra Prize to both winner and organizers !
 
 
 

Premium +1 ability Fronts (NO LONGER DISTRIBUTED)

There are currently only two "Premium" fronts in the MLE booster packs (Kell's +1 ability and The Highlanders). So there are still 9 MLE +1 ability Premium fronts to be collected. Each of these Premium fronts will use an alternate picture from the Persona PreGame.

So where are these cards ? Well... nowhere to be downloaded from the Virtual Packs Generator.

Some of these special virtual promo cards are to be distributed to players for Special events or under certain conditions :
- Two of them will reserved for MLE tounament winners (Graham Ashe and Jin Ke)
- One will be given to players who collect ALL Rare cards (Darius)
- One will be given to players who collect ALL Premium cards (Kenny)
- One will be given to players who collect the two Ultra-Rare Premium cards i.e one per case (Nick Wolfe)
- One will be given as a reward for advertizing the MLE project or website on CCG newsgroups and/or CCG forums and/or other websites and therefore help us developping a Highlander CCG and MLE community (Korda)
- One will be given to active players who regularly post strategy articles, combos and/or decks involving MLE cards to the Highlander mailing lists or on a Website and help us construct a real strategy guide for MLE cards (Cracker Bob)
- The remaining two are to be kept for other specific uses (Highlanders, Ramirez, Consone and Faith). They will be "hard to get" fronts.

Some of these promo cards will be very easy to get while others may require much work from players and traders.

MLE Nemesis Cards

These promo cards will be released once every two weeks. You can get them by subscribing to the free promo plan available to all players and collectors. You can read the text of these cards in the spoiler list page.

Premium MCBC Fronts & Backs

These promos will be released in early 2001. They will be distributed under certain conditions like the +1 Premium fronts.

MCBC Backs
- Darius and Korda will be distributed as tournament Prize (for the top three players)
- Cracker Bob and Faith will be distributed only for specific tournaments (for the top three players, MLE Persona format only)
- Jin Ke will be distributed to tournament organizers
- Graham Ashe and Consone will be delivered as basic contribution rewards (advertising and strategy)
- Kell, Kenny, Nick, The Highlanders and Ramirez will be "hard to get" promo cards (MLE2 design team, MLE2 playtesters, specific events...)

MCBC Fronts
- Darius and Korda will be distributed to tournament winners
- Cracker Bob and Faith will be distributed only for specific tournaments winners (MLE Persona format only)
- Jin Ke will be distributed to "frequent tournament" organizers
- Graham Ashe and Consone will be delivered as "heavy contribution" rewards (advertising and strategy)
- Kell, Kenny, Nick, The Highlanders and Ramirez will be "hard to get" promo cards (MLE2 design team, MLE2 playtesters, specific events...)

Zeist PreGame cards

TCG had its Thunder Castle Games rips, the MLE project will have Zeist rips/deletes cards. They will behave exactly like basic rips (one shot cards) but you'll also have to delete the virtual jpeg file from your hard disk ! These Zeist cards will be released for "real life" events such as the Halloween night, Christmas or possibly New Year day and other events.

Each Zeist promo will be announced a few weeks before these events, and request for these promo will be accepted only during the specific event. For instance, the Christmas Zeist card will be delivered upon email request, but only if this request is sent during the Christmas day !

Why did we decide t use Zeist as our rip/delete card name ? Because if it is problably the best title that one could give to a card that must be ripped into pieces. Most Highlanders fans would even rip the card without any real need, but just because of its title.

Waiting for Ramirez...

Many players already know the old Ramirez Edition spoiler list that is available on some Highlander websites and mailing lists. Thunder Castle Games still hasn't made any official announcement of a *real* release date. Is Ramirez lost in another dimension ? Hopefully not.

The MLE set brings an alternate (and unofficial) version of the expected Ramirez immortal, yet he still does not have any card to be played with. Promo cards may include fully playable preview cards of a Missing Link Edition 2 set, to begin with some Ramirez InGame cards, new Weapon or Immortal PreGame Fronts, and much more...
