Wanna help the MLE project ?
We are always in need of fresh ideas, brand new card ideas, new effects or cool combinations of cards. So if you have something hot to submit, it may be included to a possible Missing Link Expansion II. Also if you have a 100% new card type you'd like to be implemented in MLE II with a complete rule description, it is also welcome in a future set.
We're more looking for balanced/original offensive cards (or cards combination) or general effects than defense or stall cards. Highlander currently suffers of a lack of strong attacks in comparison with the existing defense cards of some immortals (9 squares defenses, immortal research, alertness, holy ground, guards...). It is far too easy to build defense/stall deck and let your opponent exhaust while you only have to defend. It is also boooooring to death.
So it is rather unlikely that we will give a kronos-like Master Block to your favorite immortal or any "avoid all attacks" or reconnaissance or Nefertiri-like permanent effects. We will probably not add power cards to the top 10 immortals either (no Master Headshot to Connor and no Killer Precision to Methos...). We need to make all Immortals more balanced on a gameplay point of the view.
On the contrary, if you have cool ideas to upgrade crap or unplayed characters, then feel free to send them for hot brand new strategy with Yung Dol Kim/Luther then they will probably be welcome with pleasure. If you want to build a hot new immortal, feel free to send a whole set of cards or only his power.
Everything will be examined and all submition with receive a feedback reply.
The hardest part of the work when building this kind of expansion is to get enough pictures to feed our hungry empty card backgrounds. Getting cool texts and cool quotes is sometimes easy and sometimes hard, but getting high quality pictures is always a hard task. And without them it is impossible to build good looking cards.
If you want to design a new immortal in MLE II, then keep in mind that without cool pictures to use, then absolutely no card can be built. And it is even more important for Weapons of Choice.
Got a cool combo ? An awesome Consone deck ? A tournament winner Kell deck or simply a weird Darius concept ? We would be very interested in your strategy feedback. Deck lists, strategy advice or simply efficient combos may be interesting for us and for other players. We'll soon add a strategy page here to give some help to new MLE card users.
You can post such contributions in the Highlander Strategy list at egroups. We'll be in touch through this list and we may include your contributions in our future strategy pages.
In order to keep the Highlander CCG alive with this fresh card set, we need to contact as many Highlander players as possible and give them access to the Virtual cards. The Highlander mailing list are obviously not efficient enough to advertise this Website to former Highlander players.
Therefore, you can help us by advertising this Website to other CCG groups, rings, websites, players and to your friends. Make them take their Highlander cards from binders, make them play Highlander again...
The Highlander CCG will not die as long as YOU can help us convince everybody it is still worth playing. No need of a $100 Collection, no need to pay for these cards. A color printer and a few sheets of paper and you can still play new hot Highlander cards. Let's keep the Highlander player base awake for a possible Ramirez release in 2001.
One possible problem with such a Virtual card set is that some web users may lack a decent color printer to get "real" cards to play with. The MLE team do not want to sell a "real" printed version of these cards in order to avoid any confusion. We are NOT trying to make money with this project, so we won't sell a printed version of our cards, even at a very low cost.

a way to print and distribute these cards, then you can provide this service
in another web page.
Any commercial use
of our cards is not forbidden as long as you request only enough money
to pay for your paper, ink and shipping.
